The Duel Brand Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza Hotel at T4 Heathrow Airport aimed to symbolise luxury, convenience, and modern design. To achieve this vision, SMART Balustrades played a crucial role in the project, delivering balustrades, glass installations, and other safety features that not only met strict safety standards but also contributed to the overall ambience of the hotel.

The project presented a series of challenges, including ensuring the safety of hotel guests, staff, and visitors while maintaining an atmosphere of sophistication and modernity. The design had to seamlessly integrate with the hotel’s interior and architectural elements while withstanding high levels of foot traffic and the potential impact of luggage trolleys.

SMART Balustrades provided a comprehensive solution that included stainless steel and glass balustrades for 10 stairs, structural glass balustrades to connect bridges and escalators, and the installation of glass in internal roof areas. Additionally, SMART Balustrades supplied stainless steel trolley bump rails, column protectors, and trolley storage areas.

Working in close collaboration with Grove Developments, SMART Balustrades meticulously executed the installation of these solutions, ensuring that each component was seamlessly integrated into the hotel’s design and layout. The focus remained on delivering safety and elevating the hotel’s overall ambience.
