SMART Balustrades’ Solution

SMART Balustrades devised a comprehensive solution to address the structural concerns and enhance the balustrade’s load-bearing capacity. This involved increasing the glass thickness, strategically incorporating structural interlayers, installing a 60mm diameter stainless steel capping rail, meticulous inspection and replacement of existing fixings, and adding glass-to-glass clamps at critical points.

The existing balustrade underwent thorough testing after the enhancements to ensure it met the required 3.0kN/m horizontal line load.
