SMART Balustrades Delivers Bespoke Balcony System for Wynbrook’s Weybourne Road Care Home Project

Project Overview: Weybourne Road Care Home

SMART supplied 48mm diameter x 1800mm high stainless steel posts with 11.5mm clear toughened and laminated glass panels to the first-floor external terraces. The posts were specially reinforced to meet the required loadings for a care home setting. The project, a 70-bed care home, was designed by Jefferson Sheard Architects.

We worked closely with Wynbrook and their client to ensure a smooth design process that would provide modern balustrades whilst adhering to all safety regulations. The final product combined strength, visual appeal, and compliance, all tailored to meet the specific needs of a care home environment.
